About Mr Malik Traders LTD

We started with one boat and a borrowed map

Mr Malik Traders LTD began in 2011 as two guides rowing travellers across a Norwegian fjord. Today we run tours on four continents — and we still keep groups small enough to fit in that boat.

We plan every route on foot before we sell it. If a stay isn’t family-run, or a guide isn’t from the region, it doesn’t make the brochure.

A share of every booking goes to trail upkeep and local conservation groups. Last year that funded 38 km of footpath repairs and two new mountain huts.

How we work

Three rules we don’t bend

  1. 01

    Small groups, always

    Twelve travellers is our ceiling. Most departures run with eight or nine.

  2. 02

    Local, by default

    Guides, drivers, cooks and hosts come from the places we visit, and they’re paid above the regional rate.

  3. 03

    Leave it better

    Every trip is carbon-accounted, and a share of each booking funds trail and habitat work.
